A couple years ago the ‘Treasures’ were up (oh, you know – our grandkids).  We took them over to the Palomar Mountain Ranch.  When our then 4 year old granddaughter climbed up the steps of the caboose, she turned around and said: “May I have your ticket please?”

A ticket is waiting for your tour, as Palomar Mountain Ranch is indeed a treasure.  Twenty one pristine acres with a charming log cabin, and an adorable caboose for guests.  Plus insulated and finished 7 car garages, and a basement workshop.  Oh, and the like new tractor, gator and Polaris, too!  All this in a heritage apple orchard, framed with meadows and a forest bordering the 2000 acre State Park!  Pretty special indeed.

Would an additional home with an underground guest apartment make a nice package?  Palomar Vista shares a property line.  That could be lovely, too!  Ah, endless possibilities!

When is a good time to bundle up and come up?  Glad to open those doors!

We are promised a bit of snow through the weekend!  I know there are many of you who dream of a White Christmas!  Would you like to celebrate in a cabin with a big stone fireplace?  That could be arranged!  How about another parcel of land next door with a gazebo looking out to the Observatory?  We can work that out too!

Beauty in the Woods is a cabin next door to Cedar Haven which is a half acre with a water share.  Both are reduced along with the Palomar Loft. 

Bundle up, and come on up!  Glad to show you ’round the Mountain!

  Coming down Crestline a few hours ago, I pulled over quick to take this for you.  I’ve seen a lot of rainbows, but never one this vivid.  And, it looks like the pot of Gold is right out there in Mendenhall Valley!   Very special!  Lots to be thankful for on this Mountain!

Driving along Crestline, I noticed quite a flock of wild turkeys having a wonderful time in the mist.  They know the perfect place to hide out this Thanksgiving.  I counted about a dozen or so.  Just one of the little delights that I’m thankful for on this beautiful Mountain.

BTW, this cabin is for sale!  Such a deal!  It comes with free pets!

Let’s usher in the holiday season with a “Thanksgathering” this Sunday night!  Bring your family and your neighbors!  The Conference Center has opened up their “Canyon Room” with a big fireplace to make it nice and toasty warm for a fun evening on the Mountain.

Directions:  When you face Mother’s Kitchen and the Summit, take the road to the left, which is State Park Road.  Stop at the State Park Kiosk, and then follow the signs down to the Conference Center.  You will be turning right at your first opportunity, then drive down to where you will see another sign to the Christian Conference Center and turn left.  Drive in to the camp, and after you pass a few homes, you will veer off to your right and you are at the parking lot.  Now, follow this Map.   The “Canyon View” meeting room is on the map, (the 6th item down). You will be walking from the Parking near the bottom of the map, on the main walkway, to the Dining Hall (the 8th item on the map).  We will be meeting downstairs from the Dining Hall, around the back side, at the Canyon View meeting room.   It is about 15 minutes from Mother’s to the Canyon View room.  You might like to car pool but there is plenty of parking. The Community Center of Palomar Mountain invites you to a free showing of “Its a Wonderful Life” at the Palomar Christian Conference Center in the Canyon View room.

The showing will be this Sunday November 24 at 6:00 PM.

Hot cider, coffee, and paper goods, will be provided.

Feel free to bring a appetizer or dessert to share if desired,  but please don’t feel obligated. Just come and enjoy!
