Mice Alert!!!! Need CLEANING?

With the warm winter, there have been two additional breeding times for those pesky mice.  They love to live in cabins and homes where there is plenty of nesting material in your sofas, beds, and closets.

Tired of dealing with the mice that think they own the place? Like to come up to a super clean cabin? Would you like to have your cabin toasty warm with you arrive, or have the windows open for our fresh, spring air? Call Nancy!

Call the Cabinator!!!

Nancy has been a mountain resident since 1997 and really knows how to corner clean and control those mice so they move outside instead of living inside!  Cleaning on the mountain since 2007, she is meticulous – very detailed, and you will be very pleased!  Nancy has all her own equipment, very nice referrals upon request, and is ready to go!  Simply give her a call 76O 742 one754

Rental Needed

Palomar Mountain or Lake Henshaw area preferred.

Long time friends of Frank and Janice Mendenhall, David and Casey lived here for six years, moved to Idaho, and are coming back!

Do you have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin or home to rent?  Ultimate wish list would include a garage and/or workshop.

Rain, beautiful Rain!

rain on palomar mountain  Yes, we woke to a beautiful rain on Palomar Mountain today.

We live right on a main road that rarely has a car go by at night.  So, I sleep with a little ‘Sound Soother’ running for those times a motorcycle wizzes by after hours.  When I woke to the sound of the rain in the very early morning, I turned off the fan, opened the window wider, pulled the covers up and was lulled back to sleep in a minute.  I woke several hours later feeling so relaxed and refreshed.  Don’t you just love listening to the rain?

And it is so fun to be out and about.  Checking on a couple new listings coming up, I found the wind is blowin’ rain sideways.   We had lunch at Mother’s Kitchen and ran into some locals who said the Observatory reported over 5 inches of rain before noon!  Gotta love this storm!

Mother’s Kitchen is a great place to watch the storm!  Cowboy Don, and Cecilia Borland finished off the last of their coffee and tea.  As Bill Aanestad mentioned when he sent the pic this morning, looking off their deck, “Its a beautiful day to be indoors!”

Looking for Palomar themed merchandise

What do you know of with a tie to Palomar?  Let’s see – Palomar Spring Water, Shirts and items from the Palomar General Store.  There are some great books on Palomar, but what else?  Suggestions for Rick are much appreciated!

From: Rick Barclay Subject: Looking for Palomar themed merchandise

I’m on the board of CALPA — an association of non-profits that support state parks. We’re having our conference in April and we’ll be having an auction to raise money. Every association donates something, ideally somehow tied in with their park or region. Last year we donated wine from Palomar winery in Temecula… just because of the Palomar name connection.

I’m not looking for a donation — but I am looking for ideas. Are you aware of any products that are made on Palomar (or even the reservations or Valley Center) or that pertain to Palomar or the region that might have some appeal to people outside the area? Has to be something someone could carry on a plane. Looking at $100 total, one item or a bundle of different items.

Thanks,

Rick

Do you have Windows 7 Home Premium?

Hope someone can help out John!

From: John Lesac

Subject: Need to borrow Windows 7 Home premium installation disk

I am attempting to repair a laptop computer owned by Paul and Vicky who are visiting from China.

The laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium. I tried using my Windows 7 Professional DVD to repair

the Home Premium operating system, but had no success. If any one has the Windows 7 Home Premium installation disk, I would like to borrow it.

Thanks
