Hike to Eagle Rock?

EagleRock

What a beautiful rock formation! The hike to Eagle Rock is from Warner Springs where you hike a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail.  Look up along the way and see Palomar Observatory.

Hiking San Diego County is a very helpful website showing many great local hikes. Several are on Palomar with a map and clear directions.

Enjoy!

Homes, Cabins, Ranches NEEDED!

5

Three new escrows this week!  Sure could use some new listings!  You might have noticed the Pending signs driving across Crestline.  We’re totally sold out of little cabins! Who has a home, cabin, ranch or some land you’d like to get sold?

Glad to get your questions answered and get some happy buyers up here to see the newest offerings on Palomar.

Cook? Meal prep?

heals

Do you love to cook? We have a new family that is interested in having a part-time home on the Mountain.  They are inquiring about having someone who would like to use their culinary skills for grocery shopping and meal prep for a few meals during their stays.  Perhaps have a great crock pot dinner waiting when they arrive, salad prepared in the fridge, cookies to go in the oven.  And/or prepare meals ahead for several days so they can just heat and serve.

It can be made at your cabin and delivered, or prepped at theirs. Yummy, healthy food.

Please click to comment and I’ll pass your info on, or simply call Brad 619-414-2744.

High heels, optional.

Pretty special days on the Mountain

033

Flocks of turkeys are out and about with their chicks these days.  The deer had brunch this morning down in our orchard.  They were back this evening for dessert, up on their hind legs, helping themselves to the apple buffet.  We were treated to a spectacular sunset tonight watching the rain fall over Pendleton and a couple cities on the coast.  Just beautiful.  Lots to enjoy up here these last few days of summer!

The Sold page is filling up fast this year with two closings this afternoon and several more in the works.  Put up a couple Pending signs today!

There are some price reductions to tempt you to come and be our neighbor!  Take a look on the Ranches page where Apple King has a brand new price.  Wow, such gorgeous land!  Looking for a cabin?  There is only one left! Check out Chef’s Charmer that came down for you, too!

How about some land?  They aren’t making anymore of it, you know. We have two very lovely pieces of land for you to check out the wildlife and see if one of those properties could make your dreams come true!

Glad to take you ’round on a tour!

How to Use and Care for Chainsaws

From: Vaucher, Yvonne – Fire Safe Council

Hello Everyone,

Would you like some great tips on how to use and care for chainsaws?  Tim Gray/USFS will give a chainsaw use maintenance and safety workshop  on Saturday, Sept 23  9:30-12 noon at the  USFS Palomar Mountain Fire Station near the observatory.

Please let people know about this great opportunity to learn use, maintanence and safety from the experts (USFS). It’s a hands on workshop-everyone should bring their chain saw if they have one.

Tim has offered to give another workshop in the future for those who can’t attend this one.If someone is interested but can’t come Sept 23 they should also register at above email with name/email and indicate their interest in a similar workshop in the future.

Hope you can join us!

Free Furniture and Appliances

We just closed escrow for that cute little red cabin on Bailey Meadow Road.  The new owner has great things planned so have free items to give away:

Double bed

Twin bed

Lots of sheets for king, double, twin

Washer/Dryer – Side-by-side that is dusty/dirty on top from being in a shed but seller said he “used it all the time when he came up and it works fine”

Gas stove – works

Wood futon with mattress

Large white formica closet/cabinet with doors

Men’s shirts extra large

Kitchen stuff and more

Just let me know when you can come see and pick them up from the cabin on Bailey Meadow Road.  All needs to be gone this weekend.

Thank you!
