
What is there to do on Palomar Mountain? For those of us who live up here, we often share that our wonderful life on Palomar is a delightful step back in time. When we step out, there is so much waiting to explore. Here is just a quick peek:
General Store – Gifts from around the world, ice cream, s’mores supplies and all things camping.
Mother’s Kitchen Restaurant – Remodeling now to open real soon!
Post Office – One of the smallest post offices in the US. No line to mail a package or buy stamps. Also a lending library, bring a book and leave a book.
Two ‘Field Trips’ to visit:
Cecelia’s Farm – Delightful farm to visit with eggs, cheese, milk, and a loom room. So fun for all ages!
Glenn’s Organic Coffee – Organic coffee from around the world, roasted on the mountain and available for your sipping pleasure.

Forest Fire Lookouts – Boucher Lookout is staffed May – Oct in the State Park. Amazing Views! It’s Free!

Mountain History – Curl up in a chair and get lost in stories of days gone by. Historical photos, books and so much more.

Palomar Mountain Park – Go up Crestline Road to Mile Marker 4, turn left. Open 9:30 to 7:00 day use.
Picnic Ground – Free Day Use picnic area with tables and bathrooms. On Summit Circle, to the west of Fire Department.
Snow Info and Pix – Chains usually required and mid-week is best. Be sure to see all the photo links.
State Park Trails – Silvercrest to the French Valley Trail. Miles of hiking adventure awaits
