Catalina and more from Palomar

Catalina Island sure stood out in Monday night’s beautiful sunset. Palomar Mountain and down through Pauma Valley is an alternate site for the 500 kV, 200 foot towers that would clear-cut 250 foot wide scars to take power to service only Orange County. The good news is the LA Basin portion of that project was just cancelled!!! Click to read how they realized they can get their power for less money by expanding existing easements and running the lines on poles they already have.

We are doing everything possible to encourage CPUC, Sempra Utilities and SDG&E to apply the same common sense to our portion of this multi-billion project. No more fires started by their power towers and let’s preserve our land and views for future generations.
