While the rest of us had a weekend off for Labor Day, staff and volunteers were ‘Laboring’ big time! They hosted such a fun weekend at Palomar Christian Conference Center 75th Anniversary Celebration. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen Cecelia with NO HANDS on that zip line! I don’t know if my arrow was on it’s way to one of the stacks of hay or not. One thing for sure, it didn’t quite make a bulls-eye, well, not even close. I popped in and out a couple of times so missed seeing some of the other locals that were treated to great meals, horseback riding, swimming, archery, the zip line, rifle range, chapel times and then s’mores ’round the campfire. This is to be an annual event so plan ahead for next year.
Save the date for another opportunity October 24 for ‘Serve Day’. The camp will post options for projects where they could your your help, lunch will be served and all activities will be available to experience in the afternoon.
Oh, and the Apple Festival will be Saturday, October 17!
