Would you like this Rim-of-the-World view from Palomar Mountain? See all the way down to Mexico, the islands dotting the Pacific and up the coast to Oceanside. This last storm brought us a few inches of snow (with deer tracks running through) and some dramatic sunset sky.
Permitted house is unfinished so we are needing a cash buyer. Click for all the details and come on up to see if this is ‘The One’!
Imagine. This could be your view from your living room window. First time I’d seen a rainbow in the clouds! The gold running through the trees is the sun shining on the Pacific. Exceptionally gorgeous ocean view to capture with Catalina Island or cruise ship lights off in the distance.
Click for more photos and info then lets take off and explore.

According to our neighbor/weatherman extraordinaire, Jim Hamerly has the rain totals for the last 90 days. We’re over here off State Park Road and realize different parts of the mountain can be quite varied for weather. He has recorded 46.23 inches of rain to date since November 1st. We also got a few inches of snow. Crestline had much more. So pretty out there!
Thinking of heading this way for a snow day? I would definitely avoid trying to come up on weekends. Midweek is always best and be sure to respect private property.
Its going to be a beautiful Spring! Keep those good numbers coming our way, thank you Jim!
Have a place on the mountain you are considering of letting go? Let me tell you about one of our full-service perks. Part of our Team includes a certain tractor driver. He is out having a wonderful time during snow days, clearing the way for us to drive right in to show and sell. Since the beginning of the century, he has made it much easier for sellers to move out. Very happy new owners can unload easily and spend their first night at their new home, cabin or ranch.
(Thinking about that tractor driver I’ve been married to for decades, reminded me to look at the calendar. In two more days, he will have put up with me for 49 years!!! Can that be true?!?)
These owners flew in last night from out of state. They are on their way up to snag a few things and we’ll meet up to get everything rolling for you. Coming Soon! Along with 4 more listings with fun blue sky snow pix!
Always glad to talk Real Estate and just about anything else,

Aren’t the views from this mountain amazing? So beautiful driving down East Grade Friday evening. Just had to take this for you.
James and Crew with the County Road Station have been working overtime to get the rock slides off the pavement. I noticed several areas where they pushed road debris to the outside edges. They have job security as there is more to watch out for today and clean up to do. Thanks guys for all you do up here!
So much rain the past few weeks and close to 7 inches last night alone! Weather forcasts vary for our favorite mountain but the one I follow is teasing with maybe a foot of snow over the next couple days: Winter Wonderland for Palomar?
Enjoy every minute and just a reminder that you can always stop by Starstrucks at our place for your favorite free coffee, hot chocolate and tea!
Hello Everyone! You free to meet up at Lake Henshaw Cafe this Friday night? Dutch and Bruce will have those guitars tuned and ready to entertains us.

Some of you know I’ve been in Missouri for a month. I was here at the airport yesterday in time for the flights to all cancel so I had an extra day with the Treasures. We’re having a lovely snow and I just might bring some with me to the Mountain (Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise!)
The Smith Mountain Boys are welcoming 2023 with their last concert of the year at Lazy H! Be sure to make your reservations or let me know… There is always room for YOU ’round our table.

A week after the fun Movie night on Palomar, I found myself in Missouri for the very first time. Just couldn’t resist since my DIL produced and directed 30+ children in the It’s a Wonderful Life Play! Rave reviews for their two performances that included our four Treasures that many of you know from their five years growing up on Palomar.
It is indeed a wonderful life where ever you might be. Hope you’re enjoying your Christmas Eve Day.
The folks of Bailey’s Resort hosted such a fun Movie and Cookie night. The old classic, It’s a Wonderful Life was on the big screen. Comfy chairs and heaters were on and the atmosphere was so fun in the Dance Hall built in the 1860’s. There were lots of delicious home-made cookies, they provided popcorn and a huge pot of some of the best stew I’ve ever tasted. Beef Cheeks. Wow, so incredibly tender and extra-delicious on a crisp winter night.
