Beauty in the Woods – Back on the Market!

For those of you intrigued by the ‘Beauty in the Woods’ over the years, it is back on the market!  It is better than ever now, sparkling clean, and such a nice new view opened up.  How will you decorate?  Where will you put your easy chair to capture those views?  What books will you bring up to your cabin?  Who will you invite to your first ‘cabin warming’?

Just give me the word, and I’ll open the door!

Apple thieves caught on Camera!

Oh, I couldn’t resist!  Thanks to Mike Stevens and his trail cams, we found out who has been stealing our apples!

There are quite a few trail cameras set up on Palomar now.  Several of them move around a bit so it is quite interesting to see what they capture.  I’ll have some more pix heading your way soon!

From: David Ross [mailto:editor@valleycenter.com]

Does anyone on the mountain have experience repairing old stoves, as in REALLY old stoves from the 1920s and 1930s?  The name on it is: A.B. Stove Co., of Battle Creek, Michigan.  Please let me know.  Thanks,

Found Lovable Black Lab

A very friendly, quite pudgy, black lab has found a new home on Palomar.  It was love at first sight for Tim and Connie, but just in case someone is looking for their dog, he is very happy and might have a new name: Bear.

Been to Boucher Lookout yet?

Curt and Barb will be there tomorrow!  Forest Fire Lookout Volunteer, Curt Waite will be looking for smokes. After being closed for decades, the lookout has been restored and back in service now not quite one month!

I am just guessing that Barb will be inspired by that view, and working on her newest book!  They would make it very fun, giving you a little tour!  Stop at the entrance to the State Park for a day pass, and head on up.  Beautiful day to be on the Mountain Top!
