Two properties For Sale Bordering National Forest

IMG_6619 5

Many folks over the years ask if we have something for sale bordering National Forest.  Now is your chance.  Both of these parcels happen to border the same 300 acre piece of National Forest.  10 acres front on the South Grade and a two acre parcel is right off East Grade.  Both have beautiful off-mountain views.

Take a look at ‘South Grade Getaway’ and ‘Two Acres Ocean View’.  This photo was from the two acres where you can actually see the southerly point of Catalina Island silhouetted against the sun.

Come on up and walk the properties to see if one might for you!

What time do you have?

autumn

One of the many special things of living on Palomar Mountain is enjoying the beauty of the Four Seasons.  Perfect Fall weather the last few days with the clouds rolling in and out, teasing of rain.  Today we have one extra hour to take in the crisp fall morning as last night our clocks were to Fall Back.

Our neighbors stopped by on a early morning hike with their extra hour.  I’m headed out now…  Happy Fall y’all!

Crafts: sugar cookie decorating, pumpkin brad man, acorn lacing Thanks to Jessica, Melanie, and Jody for their help with this. If anyone else is able to come, please bring snacks for the kids. No nuts! Thanks!!

If you don’t celebrate Halloween, no worries — we are keeping this strictly harvest. No costumes…save those for trick or treating later that night!

trick-or-treat

Trick or Treating:  Since neighbors aren’t used to having this many kids for Trick or Treating on Palomar, Stacy pre-arranged for places to trick or treat.

Meet at the Summit at 4:30 so we can carpool and LEAVE from the Summit at 4:45.  We have 20 places to hit but a lot of driving to do! Please don’t be late — if you are, head down to the Lodge, and then start working back towards the Summit to find us. Yay! Everyone is so excited we are coming to their places!!  We’ll end up with hot dogs and chips for a “Spooky Forest Trail Hike”.

Boo!

Forever in Blue Jeans – Home For Sale

hay in my jeans

Blue jeans?  Yes!

Just in time for Fall fun!  We have a very special home for you!  First time on the market, it was built with very environmentally sensitive materials.  This includes using recycled denim for the insulation.  The contractor is one of the most respected builders in San Diego County. Well known for his fine craftsmanship, he builds with classical music playing in the back ground.  Pretty special!

You’ll love the home with two bedrooms, two full baths plus a loft that is presently an office.  It could easily be another sleeping room.  The home has an option to also enclose another room above the dining if you’d like even more sleeping areas.

One of the last properties at the end of the road, it is perfect for someone who would like to get away from the stress and demands of city life.  Come on up and explore this nine acres.  Sit a spell on the deck and enjoy watching the wildlife.  Have a very special retreat to create wonderful family memories with the beauty of the Four Seasons.

“…And if you pardon me, I’d like to say, you’ll do okay… Forever in blue jeans”

And Then There Were None?

Yes, Agatha Christy’s murder mystery comes to life, well, for a short while, with five of our Palomar Mountain thespians.  We saw it last night and even though I am more of a Sound of Music gal, this was a GREAT show.  The audience was in suspense and laughing at the end – you just need to be there!

Easier than ever with four free tickets – while they last! Heidi Phelps can have them for you at the door tonight at 7 or Sunday at 2 but soon there will be none…

Sunday Morning Service and Breakfast

DSC00702.JPG

One of our properties in escrow is going to a man by the name of George Wolfe.  He is a retired pastor from Calvary Chapel churches.  He is bringing family and friends up for the festival and offered to have a service tomorrow morning on our patio. Weekenders, Crescent and Tonja Jakubs and their family will have a couple guitars to provide music.  You are all invited!  9 am.  BYO chair and a jacket – it’s a little chilly out there!

Knowing George gets up very early in Meniffee and usually drives to his daughter’s for breakfast, I offered to have breakfast here, too.  If you’d like to join us, I have a couple breakfast dishes coming out of the oven at 8 am. Egg casseroles, biscuits and gravy, apple muffins, fruit… That cowboy got off his horse long enough today to squeeze some big jugs of fresh OJ, now he is slicing mountain apples. Woo Hoo!   We’ll have coffee, tea and paper goods.   Since we don’t know how many to plan for, let’s potluck breakfast so bring something to share along with your chair!  Food for the body and the soul!

8 am – Breakfast

9 am – Praise and Worship

11 am – Apple Festival – here is the flyer: Apple Festival Oct. 15th!

Like to volunteer at the Apple Festival?  Free camping Saturday and Sunday night for volunteers: Volunteers needed for Festival
