The seventh annual Apple Festival is Sunday! Palomar Author, Barbara Anne Waite’s grandfather planted many apple trees over 100 years ago. Barb published her grandmother’s journal in two books. They will be available Annual Palomar Mountain State Park Apple Festival:

Barb is off at a family reunion but her husband Curt will be there selling “Elsie’s Mountain” and “Elsie-Arizona Teacher 1913-1916” memoir book. Special Apple Festival price 2 books $25.00. They will donate $2.00 from each sale to Palomar Mountain State Park. Yes, some of the cider will be made from “Elsie apples”- planted by Barb’s great-grandfather in 1904, and still producing apples.
