Fire Operations in the Wildland Urban Interface

August 26, 2017, 9am — 4pm

Location: Palomar Mountain Fire Department

Station 79, 21610 Crestline Road, Palomar Mountain, 92060 .

Time: Workshop registration, coffee and refreshments at 8:30am; the course will

start promptly at 9:00am

Learn about prediction of wildfire behavior, principles of wildfire suppression and structural protection, evacuation and survival tips. Take a field trip to selected homes to do site assessments and apply lessons learned.

FREE of charge to local residents, representatives of community Fire Safe Councils,

and CERT members. Lunch will be provided.
