This morning I was out with my grandson playing in the dirt. (Yes, we were both playing in the dirt.) Then he pointed to a tiny plant and said, “Look here Grandma Bonnie, wild strawberries! Someone could step on these leaves and smash them. We should move this plant to a safe place.” We looked around and saw the ground carpeted with many of the young plants. So, he’ll leave his little new-found garden right where it is and keep a watchful eye out for the harvest.
Meanwhile, Palomar’s wild strawberries are your ‘shamrock’ from the mountain today!
Enjoy your holiday weekend!
‘Grandma’ Bonnie 🙂
