First Aid at the Firewood Stand

Daniel and Rena

One of the many things I love about my life is being able to greet folks at the grandkid’s Firewood Stand out front.  Daniel and his daughter Rena, were loading wood for their campfire but I noticed a pretty creative dressing on his leg and asked about it.

To get to their campsite in the State Park, they take a path down from where they parked. Daniel slipped and did a pretty good job of scraping his leg.  He did the best he could with a napkin and some packing tape.  I offered our First Aid Basket.  He scrubbed with some antibacterial soap, rinsed it off at our hose, then Nurse Rena got him bandaged up, just like a pro.

Bringing Smiles at the full-service Firewood Stand!

I’m so glad you came into my life!

IMG_4112

It was a pleasure to meet a musician from a band I remember from my high school days. He has been coming to Palomar for years and had his first Real Estate tour this week.  When he saw the guitar in the Tiny House on the 68 acres, he picked it up, played and sang a bit of an oldie I remember from decades ago:

… Now I’m having so much fun
You treated me so kind,
I’m about to lose my mind
You made me so very happy
I’m so glad you came into my life …

Palomar is a breath of fresh air, provides inspiration for another song and just good for the soul.  And, I betcha you’ll be humming this song all day long!
