Tonight’s Earthquake Info

We have family visiting from out of state.  First time to Palomar.  Let’s see, they were helping with firewood and saw a rattlesnake, then Cecilia’s goats chewed on their clothes, enjoyed a very fun dinner cooked in our campfire (thanks to tips from Mindy Grant!!!) … and topped off the day with an earthquake!  Doesn’t get much better than this!

Found dogs – are they yours?

If you are missing two dogs, Cathy Simm has fed them and has them waiting for you to pick up at her ranch at the base of the mountain, just west of Oak Knoll Campground.

Both dogs are very friendly have been recently shaved for the summer.  One is a husky or malamute silver and black.  The other is a little Spaniel-type dog.  They seem to have been well cared for and eat from the same dish nose-to-nose so appear to be buddies.

Please call Cathy to claim or have your name on her list to adopt!  760 518-3740

Rosebud is Alive and Well

After being out on an adventure around Palomar Mountain for a month, Rosebud is safe and sound.  Thanks to the sharp eye of a former neighbor of Holly’s, Terri Sproul.  Terri called with the good news.  However, her cat and Rosebud never did get along so Rosebud is looking forward to keeping our Hay Barn free of mice.  I know some of you out there are glad to hear a happy ending.
