We’ve had some lovely summer weather lately, but I just couldn’t resist posting this pic of my favorite season on Palomar. Escrow just closed today! A warm welcome to one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. John Rodriguez came up for his keys and is so happy! When I asked him why he had to have a home on Palomar, it was real easy. “For the Stars! You can’t get it in the city. I’ve loved the outdoors, nature, and the stars since I was a little boy and Palomar Mountain is amazing.” John is a LVN and working in the health field but starts school in a few weeks on a second degree to study the stars and be an Astronomer. “I am excited to have the chance to volunteer at the Observatory. My family thinks I am crazy to move all the way up here, work in Temecula, and go to school at Palomar, but they all know I’m finally living my dream!” Some of John’s family has already been up and I’ve had a chance to meet them. They assured me that they will love visiting on our beautiful Mountain.

Subject: Pianos needing tuning?

I’ve got a piano tuner coming to our house on Wednesday July 24th. His name is Brian Janey (Allegro Piano) & he’s very good.

He does charge extra to travel to Palomar, so I thought I’d ask if you know anyone who may want a piano tuned the same day (would split the $75 trip charge, if so). His charges vary depending on what condition the piano is in and what needs to be done, so I’d refer anyone to him directly about $$ for their tuning.

Many thanks for the nice calls and notes about our missing kittens. We thought they were gone for sure. The two missing sisters had found their way to loving foster homes. Now all three are very happy to be back together. Thanks to people of Palomar! Isn’t this a great mountain?!?

See Have you Seen our Kitties?

Two of our three kitties didn’t come home from playing on Saturday. They are triplets so look just like this one. They have apparently been seen out and about at Baileys. If you are feeding and housing these friendly cats, please tell them that big sister, Miss Mousetrap, is very lonely for her siblings. We’d appreciate a call. Don is the keeper of the cats and will usually answer at 760 74two 87one6
