Many of us have fond memories of “Cool Cat” Doug singing occasionally at the Fire Department Barbecues. A very talented musician, and a kind, family man. Doug’s roots to Palomar go back about 100 years. His grandfather was talented and much-loved, too. I can always recognize a Tillinghast fireplace. Doug’s grandfather built the Lodge at the end of Crestline, and left a beautiful signature on quite a few cabins up here. Read More…

Barbara MacCurry has a trash dumpster that is now shared with two other people. There is room for a couple more to squeeze in. (That doesn’t sound right… YOU don’t get in the dumpster, you know. It is just a convenient place to leave your trash on the mountain).
The dumpster is located just past Road Marker 11 on the right side of Crestline Road. It is locked and each person that shares has a key. Trash is picked up each Monday.
