Are you going to be on the mountain for Thanksgiving weekend?
You are invited gather your family and friends and come to a delightful outdoor concert given by one of our mountain neighbors, Brett Michael Houser. He plays this magnificent organ in his cabin. It is so fun to listen and the more the merrier!
Brett has also played the Spreckels Organ in Balboa Park and per their tradition, he will begin and end Saturday’s concert with the same patriotic songs. Three other selections will also be performed:
America
Jig Fugue Buxtehude in C Major
Fanfair by Dr. Francis Jackson
A famous hymn of thanks – Now Thank we all our God
National Anthem
This Saturday, start gathering about 2:45 as the concert will start promptly at 3:00 pm – Brett will greet us, introduce the songs. then will go back inside, leaving his doors and windows open for us all to hear another amazing concert.
Directions: You might want to bring a folding chair, warm jackets plus a big umbrella as there is a chance of rain. (That would be extra fun!) Please park at the end of Crestline by the Lodge. From where Crestline ends, take the road to the left (you’ll pass two cabins on each side). Follow that road to the first chance to turn right. Turn right, and continue on that little dirt road. Brett’s home is the 5th cabin on the left. Light gold/yellow cabin with dark brown trim and an American Flag on his porch. (His home is just before one of my listings, so you can follow the Palomar Properties signs). If you would like to drive in to drop off your folding chairs, and part of your group, you are welcome, but there is no room to park and we aren’t to block his parking area or the road.
Lots to be thankful for on this little mountain!
