Clean up time ’round your property

The US Forestry Service has requirements for clearing defensible space around all structures.  One of the jobs our local Fire Department has is to visit each home and cabin to make sure your property is compliant.

Clear and simple guidelines are in the links below.  Let’s all do our part in making Palomar more fire safe!

From:  Bill Leininger

Palomar Mountain Community,
CAPT Kowalski’s update on the Palomar Mountain Fire Dept at the PMPO meeting on Saturday, here’s the link to the Defensible Space Inspection Form that CALFIRE will use:
http://calfire.ca.gov/communications/downloads/fact_sheets/04539%20SAGE%20CAL%20FIRE%20Defensible%20Space%20Inspection%20Materials_Proof1b_25JAN1.pdf

Short version – These are all the “test questions” for the inspection, so you know what you need to prepare.

If you have any individual questions, please contact the Palomar Mountain Fire Dept (Station79) on the non-emergency number – 760-742-3701.
