Log Home and 1906 Earthquake

How fun to answer the phone with a call from the original owner of this charming log home!  He introduced himself as a realtor, on the coast who found “his” property on the web.  As his “favorite home of all time”, he told me about the large window that is part of the wall in the master bedroom.  That beautiful leaded glass survived the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake!

Having an idea for a hand-carved door, he took photos of what he loved about the property – seeing the Observatory, birds, all the trees and deer.  He passed those photos off to a carver in Mexico to create the door.  Another craftsman made the intricate but very solid mahogany door handles.

There is a lot to love about this very private home on nearly 8 acres.  Sellers just reduced the price to give you even more to celebrate on this Fourth of July Weekend!  Check it out and lets go see:
