Look what arrived in my Inbox this morning! Thanks to Pauma Valley friend, John Beck. He took this mountain view from their ranch on the Pauma ridge looking out toward Nate Harrison Grade. This was taken back in the days when we had snow.
Ah, someday soon!!!

the good old days were when we had more dirt roads & alot more privacy….and a german shepard named arco at the gas station in town where they would check your oil as they filled you gas tank…..and when you could hear others talking on the party line on the old rotary phones …and a time when you could let your kids leave home on the weekends without the fear of lurking predators….Yes the good old days, I sure miss them

Hi Alicelynn,
Don’t think your cell phone works yet. If you have Internet, you can get Magic Jack for a one time $49.00 charge. You already have a phone, so you just connect it! Pretty amazing. You new neighbor, Darla that has that first A-frame past your turn down on the right on Bailey’s. You’d enjoy meeting her if you haven’t already.

Bonnie,
A question: Is cell phone service pretty good on the mt. now? We haven’t been able to come up for a while and wondered if our AT&T service would work now? It didn’t the last time I tried, at least in our area. We would like to get rid of our landline and depend on the cell phone when up there.
Thanks for your input.
