Sisters Ann and Catherine Wood taken many years ago. Catherine wrote a wonderful historical book about Palomar. Last week I met Ann’s son, Bill, over the phone. They are planning to clean up and use the family cabin the sisters enjoyed so much on their beloved Palomar.

Interesting update on Catherine Wood. Many years ago (early ’50’s) my mother (Mollie Ekberg) purchased a copy of “Palomar From Tepee to Telescope” at the old Rincon restaurant (on Rt. 76) that burned down many years ago. Mom thought the book would give us info on the mt. we had recently started enjoying and where dad had built a cabin. I have the book now, complete with the author’s autograph, and I treasure it!
It says published in 1937.
