Waiting for Thanksgiving Snow

77369258_680254209048420_6698795817953656832_n

So fun to look out and see these gals enjoying the rain so much.  Our next-door granddaughters had a friend up.  They had an option to stay by the fire doing crafts.  But all wanted go on an adventure with me!  We headed over to Crestline to check on cabins tonight and loved seeing a bit of snow.  Still waiting for that white stuff on State Park Road. We do appreciate every drop of rain we get.  But this family does a happy dance when it is a winter wonderland.

May you enjoy your Thanksgiving Weekend, where ever you may be.  We have a spot for you ’round our fire and would love to see you.  Thank you so much for our connections through Palomar, the Mountain News and entrusting me with your Real Estate needs.

Giving thanks with a grateful heart,

Bonnie and Family

27 Acres on Highway to the Stars

view

Would this view do it for you?  Honestly, this is just a peek! There is so much beauty to discover on 27.93 acres with panorama views in every direction! Take in those amazing sunsets over the ocean, the islands dotting the Pacific, look out toward Lake Henshaw, the Cuyamacas, sparkling city lights and so much more!

The land borders National Forest on two sides with a spring and seasonal stream.  An  abundance of wildlife also call this property ‘home’.

You have a great well waiting for you to enjoy the delicious water Palomar is known for. The owner recently built a nice shed but it looks like a Tiny House Shabin to me!  Oh, you know what a shabin is, don’t you?  It is somewhere between a shed and a cabin.  This is big enough to have a sink and kitchenette area and let’s see, perhaps you would choose to create a sleeping loft… lots to think about while planning for your future.

Here is an album for you with 52 photos.  Be sure to see the video below for much more of the view!!

May all your dreams come true having a piece of paradise on Palomar Mountain!

Let’s connect soon!

Owner Anxious – Snowy Cabin Reduced

1 snow.jpg

I just had to go out and take a few snow photos today. When I got back, the owner of this one had called.  They are reducing the price hoping a new family will enjoy their move-in ready cabin for the holidays.  Now just $185,000 so who will it be?

Simply click for the MLS info and photos.  We  could do a cash purchase in about 5 business days.  Or, my lender has already been to the cabin and confident in his loan product for you to have the keys in just a few weeks or less!

Yesterday’s snow is almost melted but more on the way next week.  Bundle up and let’s get you in!

Loving our first snow!!!

Nate Harrison – Born a Slave, Died a Pioneer

Nate Harrison

A new book was just published with Palomar History!  Peter and Kathy had a cabin up here for a few years.  He still hosts an-ever growing website for intriguing history on our favorite mountain.  Thanks all for the untold hours of work to get this latest book out for us to enjoy!  Bonnie Phelps

From: Peter Brueggeman

Kathy Creely and I went to the book launch event for SDSU archaeology professor Seth Mallios’ book on Nate Harrison of Palomar Mountain. I provided Seth with historical materials and comments on Nate Harrison and on Palomar Mountain, both personally and through my Palomar Mountain history website, and it was quite a thrill to see his book published after many years of work. His book incorporates knowledge from many seasons of archaeological digs on Nate Harrison’s cabin site at Harrison Serenity Ranch on Palomar Mountain, with extensive and deep historical research on Nate Harrison.

Insurance Option?

1

Several of you have connected with me about needing a new source for your homeowner’s insurance.  Click for an article sent tonight by Rosemary Johnston.

The article tells about an option that quite a few locals are using now with the California Fair Plan.  That option is available through the agents listed here.

Nearly 5 inches of rain!

So thankful for the lovely rain!  Our gauge shows 5 inches for this storm.  We had only a dusting of snow over here on State Park Road. Crestline had more that stayed on the ground. About gone now…  But, wait!  “A chance of snow Thanksgiving Day!”

How fun is that!?!??
