Have you seen Rob’s Nikon telephoto lens?
From: Robert Hawk [mailto:palomarhawk@gmail.com]
I lost the telephoto lens to my Nikon camera sometime after when I was up on Palomar, so I’m retracing my steps. I loaded some wood at the Fire station NewYears Eve, so if anyone turned in a Nikon telephoto lens they found near the wood pile, please let me know. Thank you!

PMVFD Board Meeting Saturday – See what’s new at the FD!
Yesterday I drove by the Fire Department and saw a big tractor-trailer delivering a welcomed new addition. This double-wide modular was a generous donation by Earl Walls. (Thank you Earl!) It will be used as an administration building and dorm and fit nicely under a big oak at the back of the property. ~Bonnie

Friends of Chuck Stoffel
Many of you knew Chuck Stoffel who lived on Palomar and worked for the County Road Station for many years. Chuck always enjoyed posting one of our favorite signs during snow days at the Crestline and Bailey Road entrances.
Out at the Salton Sea with family and friends to celebrate New Years, I’m very sad to say, he rolled his jeep and passed away last week. A friend put together a memorial website with lots of photos of a great guy that who will be missed by many. It has a page where you can leave memories for his family or send photos. Would you like to make a donation? Down on the left side of the page is a place that says ‘Donations’. Move your mouse over that icon for more info. Memorial Service date and time should be on that website when available.
