This morning we woke to our first fall dusting of snow on Palomar. Wish you could all be here to see! It was a beautiful beginning for our celebration of one of the great holidays in our country, Thanksgiving. It is a time to gather and be with those we love and reflect on what is most important to each of us. Despite all of the changes we have all experienced and all of the things we can find wrong in today’s world, we live in a great country and we have so much to be thankful for.
Don and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And, know that I am very thankful and appreciative for the connection that we share and the opportunity contribute to your life from time to time.

This message has come my way from quite a few of you. Jerry Johnson sent it tonight and I thought since he did get the virus message, maybe this might save even one of you from a bit of computer stress over the holidays.
Subject: The newest virus circulating is the UPS/Fed Ex Delivery Failure email
I received this E-mail about a week ago. I did not print the attachment as it did not make sense. Jer
Felt this worth passing along. With Christmas coming up, I can see where this could be a real problem.
The newest virus circulating is the UPS/Fed Ex Delivery Failure. You will receive an e-mail from UPS/Fed Ex Service along with a packet number. It will say that they were unable to deliver a package sent to you on such-and-such a date. It then asks you to print out the invoice copy attached. DON’T TRY TO PRINT THIS. IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS! Pass this warning on to all your PC operators at work and home. This virus has caused Millions of dollars in damage.
Snopes confirms that it is real.

You just never know the bargains you can get off the Palomar Mountain News! Today’s Freebie is a Shed! Imagine that! It is waiting for you to take it away.
Go up Crestline Road, to Road Marker 5, turn right and you can’t miss it. It has a small electricial panel but has not been hooked up to power in years. Take it all away, and it is yours. Much appreciated!

Cold weather months are approaching and gently used, clean jackets and blankets are much appreciated by some of those less fortunate. Do you have extra jackets or blankets taking up room in your cabin? You are invited to drop them off at our place and leave inside our entry, or I am glad to pick them up. I’ll be taking them down Sunday to a homeless ministry in Escondido to be distributed at a Monday Thanksgiving Dinner.
Thanks!
