  Lots of love at the Fire Department with blood pressure checks through the weekend by Palomar’s own, Dr. Linda Fortney!  She will be there through the weekend so stop in for that FREE service.  Linda also wants everyone to know that ALL fire personal are trained to give blood pressure checks and you are invited to stop by ANYTIME to have yours checked!  Here’s to your Heart!

Palomar Mountain set two new records yesterday, Feb 14, 2014 for that date’s warmest daytime high [73 degrees] (since 1901, previous record was 71 in 1957) and warmest nighttime low [55 degrees] (previous 52; same years).  OK, great, now bring on the rain!

Racing through the San Marcos Frys the other day, I turned the corner in the small appliance department.  When I laid eyes on this popcorn popper, I am very certain I heard:  “Take me to your cabin”!  $20.00 later, the deed was done!  I do believe that we will see these retro, red poppers, popping up all over Palomar.

Such a beautiful view of our snow clouds over Palomar this morning.  Thanks to former weekender Sheila Robinson’s camera, from her work-out view in Valley Center.  Here’s hoping for a lot more clouds heading our way!!!  (Just a dusting last night….)

The Palomar Mountain Fire Department will be participating in the county-wide Love Your Heart Program on February 14th.  Residents are welcome to stop by the fire station anytime from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to have their blood pressure checked by the on-duty crew.
