Valentine fun was a lot different back in 2008: http://www.mypalomarmountain.com/valentinesnow/ As much as we appreciate Mike Pique’s temperature report, we are sure hoping for some rain and white stuff! Bonnie

Palomar Mountain set two new records yesterday, Feb 14, 2014 for that date’s warmest daytime high [73 degrees] (since 1901, previous record was 71 in 1957) and warmest nighttime low [55 degrees] (previous 52; same years). OK, great, now bring on the rain!

“Take me to your Cabin!”
Racing through the San Marcos Frys the other day, I turned the corner in the small appliance department. When I laid eyes on this popcorn popper, I am very certain I heard: “Take me to your cabin”! $20.00 later, the deed was done! I do believe that we will see these retro, red poppers, popping up all over Palomar.
You heard it here first on Palomar Mountain News. You are so welcome!

Snow Clouds Over Palomar
Such a beautiful view of our snow clouds over Palomar this morning. Thanks to former weekender Sheila Robinson’s camera, from her work-out view in Valley Center. Here’s hoping for a lot more clouds heading our way!!! (Just a dusting last night….)

Now that’s more like it!!!
Most of us have been keeping an eye on the weather links and wish the east coast would share just a little of their snow and rain with us!!! A few days ago I noticed that we had a 20% chance of snow tonight… then 50%… now there are snow flakes all over the forecast! Hope they have it right this time: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?site=sgx&smap=1&textField1=33.32278&textField2=-116.87778#.Uu5xYWeA2M8

Recognize anyone?
So curious if any of you might recognize someone in this photo. Found it when cleaning out a cabin. Nothing written on the back. Thanks!
