Bella Luna Cabin For Sale

cabin for sale palomar mountain bonnie phelps  A lovely deck makes it even nicer to watch the moon rise from Bella Luna. Oh, the beautiful moon!

A much-loved vintage fixer cabin is the newest offering on Palomar Mountain.  Since the woodpeckers have been so very happy here, new siding is in order.

The owners were here last weekend and enjoyed their stay very much, so you can too!  The cleaning gal is keeping an eye on everything, so it is ready to move in and get that siding done.  Then you can update and decorate to your heart’s content.

Half acre, carpeted with daffodils in the Spring.  Perfect for sledding. Easy, level access right off Crestline.  Great walk-out basement with washer/dryer hookups and lots of room for your tools to get some projects done.  Click and scroll to Bella Luna at Palomar Properties.  The MLS link is waiting for you there along with a couple dozen photos.  Who is coming up to see it first???

Looking forward to opening the door, and thanks for sharing with your friends.

cabin for sale palomar mountain bonnie phelps palomarproperties

The owners of this absolutely charming cabin closed escrow last week on the home-of-their-dreams. So, they reduced the price again for Inspiration Hideaway.  I’m told that road base is on the way to improve the road going in that will make it really nice for you, so let’s go.  Come up and enjoy the best price per square foot of the nicest remodel of a vintage cabin on the Mountain!

Note on your door? Two weeks to comply!

The Forest Service folks have been going to all properties on Palomar, checking them for fire safety.  They have left flyers on the doors with tips to make your home more fire safe by creating 100 feet of defensible space.  Also, every property has a “Legal Notice to Remove Fire Hazards”.  I’ve picked up several notices at upcoming listings.  Some property passes just fine.  However others have “areas of concern” that are to be taken care of within a two week period of time.

Click for a pdf of the requirements.

In addition to creating 100 feet of defensible space, you are asked to post your house address in a minimum of 4 inch numbers, and make sure the area around your propane tank is clear 10 feet around.  It is also important to not have dirt next to the tank as it rusts a lot faster.  Make sure no branches are within 10 feet of your chimney. Some insurance companies don’t want trees hanging over the roof of the house.  (Trees are just like children, they grow up so fast!!!)

Here are the websites included in the literature:
