Morning Sunrise on Palomar

sunrise cropped  Bert Hulbert

Yesterday I got up early to head down to the city.  Couldn’t resist pulling over to take the sunrise photo with the morning mist curling ’round Lake Henshaw. I posted it on Facebook where South Grader, Bert Hulbert saw it.  He thought I’d doctored the colors until he captured the sunrise from their deck this morning.

Sure is beautiful on the mountain these days!

‘Yule’ love the Christmas Real Estate Update

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Some new folks are headed our way with cabins in their stockings for Christmas!  An elf I know has been posting “In Escrow” signs across Crestline.  We’ve gone from a long time at zero, to four properties now in pending.

So, there are some happy sellers and buyers.  But we are now at an ALL TIME LOW on inventory for the clients so anxious for a place to call their own over the holidays!

Are you considering selling your cabin, home, ranch or land?  Let’s connect!  I’m glad to get your questions answered and get those new offerings of Palomar Mountain Real Estate out there for the New Year!

Waiting for a Winter Wonderland…

Time to take out the Trash

Several new families will be moving to Palomar!  Does anyone have room to include more people with their dumpster?  Or, is there anyone who would like to go in on sharing a dumpster? Some part-time cabins are being replaced with full time folks.  Hoping we can work out some new options for trash day!

Just let me know.  Thanks!

Christmas Greeting from Assemblymember Marie Waldron

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

This time of the year, we are constantly inundated with ads about what to give, what to buy, and where to get the best deal on the latest iPhone, big-screen TV or other new piece of electronic wizardry. Even when it’s 80 degrees outside, as is often the case in beautiful Southern California in December, the media won’t let us forget that Christmas, Hanukkah and New Years are rapidly approaching.

Despite the weather, the commercialism, the hectic pace and our ever-expanding waistlines, most will agree that faith, hope and love are the underlying reasons we celebrate the holidays. We should always be thankful for the real blessings that have been bestowed upon us, including our families and friends, our homes, and our right to live securely in liberty and peace.

At some point the hectic pace will recede as we slow down a bit and begin to celebrate the season’s true meaning. As we join our friends and family members, we give thanks to God for our many blessings, and begin to reflect on those who are no longer with us, on our hopes for the coming year, and on the rights we all enjoy living in a nation based on individual liberty, human dignity and the rule of law.

My family and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah and a Happy and prosperous 2015.

Experience Palomar at Winter Camp

Girls sledding Palomar Christian Conference Center Do you know some kids that would like to come up for a winter camp?  Check out some of the fun they can have on Palomar Mountain!

Blankets, Jackets, or things to spare?

Each year folks from the Christian Conference Center gather clean blankets, jackets, warm clothing and usable items to take to an orphanage in Mexico.

Do you have some jackets the kids or grandkids have outgrown?  Blankets taking up space in the cupboard?  Give Lane a call and they’ll take them across the border where they are really appreciated.  Monetary donations are welcomed too.

Have you Winterized?

Looks like our temperature is dropping with the possibility of our first snow flakes heading our way.

It was very sad to walk in to a cabin last year and see the toilet in half with a block of ice that had cracked the bowl.  It’s a beautiful day to head up to your cabin to make sure the water is off, and have a fresh supply of Antifreeze.

Not able to get up?  There are some local handymen and contractors that could get the job done for you, too.

I’m glad to get your questions answered anytime.
