Letters please for the Joel Mendenhall Memorial Highway
Our ACR4 (Assembly Concurrent Resolution) for the Joel Mendenhall Memorial Highway is scheduled for Monday, April 6th for hearing in the Assembly Transportation Committee. To support this resolution, please send a letter to the Assembly Transportation Committee (Chairman Jim Frazier ) at (916) 319-2193. This ACR will rename a portion of Highway 76, as the Joel Mendenhall Memorial Highway in memory of Joel.
The California Cattleman’s Association is also supporting!

Boot Drive Today at the Summit!

The Palomar Mountain Volunteer Fire Department will be conducting the annual Burn Institute Boot Drive this Saturday at the Summit area to benefit the “Camp Beyond The Scars” program to send burn-injured children to camp.
All proceeds benefit the Burn Institute so if you see your firefighters at the Summit with a boot in hand this Saturday please be generous with your donations. Read More…

New poles for Palomar
Going down the East Grade, we stopped for a few minutes while a huge crane was getting in place to set some new poles. We were told that SDG&E is replacing wooden poles with steel poles, across the mountain. The plan is to have a safer situation during fires, storms and high winds. Read More…
