Palomar Mountain was quite a destination and a boom town a century ago with the lumber mill in operation down in Pedley and many little cabins built in the Roaring Twenties! The subdivision on Bailey Meadow Road was approved apparently in 1922 or there abouts. One of my escrows has had a title issue and that map could be helpful not only to the new owners, but also everyone who owns a property in Baileys.
The County offices have not turned up the map, my title company hasn’t found it … but we know it exists. I looked through all my old maps today with no luck. I found survey maps but need the Subdivision Map. Do YOU happen to have a copy? It is referenced on deeds as “Palomar Mountain Resort Company’s Tract No. 1 at Bailey’s”. I’d love to get a copy of it and would make it available to all owners with the information on why it is important to have it included with their important papers.
Saturday is the Annual Pancake Breakfast and very important PMPO meeting. Perhaps we could meet up there?

Hey Bon,
When we were in the process of selling the parcel of Fern Meadow Rd., I carefully went through all of the documents, maps and surveys we had received from Chuck and Katie, and there was no map like the one you are looking for. 😦 Hope somebody comes up with it.

Hi Bonnie,
My cabin is 38527 Evergreen Trail and part of the Bailey Subdivision. The attached map is what I have from my cabin purchase in Dec 2022. My title is with American Title and property lines recently marked by Rockwell Survey. Property lines have been a real challenge in this subdivision. I saw some surveyors out a few days ago on Evergreen Trail. I hope the attached map helps. I am happy to share any other information I have, however likely limited as a new resident of the mountain.
Best,

BTW, about 20 years ago we were invited to an amazing Thanksgiving Dinner in your cabin. Bernadette Madison made the entire meal using the wood cookstove. My husband still says it was the BEST Thanksgiving dinner he’s ever had. The turkey had an absolute delicious taste we’d never experienced before. The gravy was outstanding, mashed potatoes, dressing… we’re talking about it now. The pie backed while we were eating dinner. Gordan and Bernadette were the perfect hosts. After dinner we lingered by the fire. Such a lovely memory.

Wow! That would be amazing! I work at just getting the fire started in the cook stove and have not been able to figure out how to use the oven part. Are they the ones who did all the amazing stained glass work? I would love for you to come by and visit some day.

We must get together. Another couple on Bailey Road, made the beautiful stained glass and added so much charm. Thanks for the invited and hope to connect real soon.
