Would you like to take the stairs to the very top of the Boucher Fire Lookout? It is FREE on Sunday during the Apple Festival. Boucher is staffed 9 am to 5 pm and you are invited to visit. Be sure to take your camera! Volunteers will answer your questions, you’ll get to go out on the catwalk, and see the 360 degree view the trained volunteers are treated to while watching for ‘smokes’.
Curt Waite, chairman of the San Diego Fire Lookout popped by and invited all of you to stop in. To get there, you go to the State Park entrance and they will direct you, straight through and up the hill. Maybe arrive early so you can drive on up easily as parking will be limited.
Festival starts runs from 11 to 4 at the Silvercrest Picnic area.
