It’s true! See note below from Gene Powers. In ’98 I remember several weeks of sunny weather and then snow in June! A friend living on a dirt road, off Bailey Meadow had taken her car down to the city to have it power-washed and detailed. Came back that day to snow!
Thanks to Gene Powers for the little throw-back. Gene moved to Iowa a few years ago, and we now have Jim and Teresa McCarthy in his A-frame by the Lodge. Let it snow!

Do you remember what happened on this day in 1999 on Palomar Mountain???
There was a 3 inch snowfall. Took about 2 days for it to melt after the storm moved away. That was he 2nd time it snowed in June the 30 yrs I lived there. One day in mid-June in the early 1980’s, I went to work early in the morn & there was a lite dusting of snow on my car. Nothing stuck to the ground or the road. Too warm. I was retired in 1999 so didn’t hafta try to drive on the snow covered road.
