Several mountain neighbors have their own snow plow blade purchased through http://www.snowbear.com When we have a foot of snow on the ground, it sure is nice to be able to do your own plowing.
I just spoke with the owner of http://www.snowbear.com and he said that his blades are available through the on-line stores at http://www.homedepot.com or http://www.lowes.com. Lots of choices available online too and some pretty good sales now.
How does it work? Some folks have picked up an older 4 wheel drive vehicle with a heavy duty transmission. Then you can determine the mounting brackets to fit your vehicle for the plow of your choice. Pick out the plow blade you want. They are pretty simple to attach when you need them and sure nice to have your own blade when you need to get in or out when we are a Winter Wonderland.
