The earthquake that was apparently centered on the Mountain woke us up last night, lotsa shaking and noise. All is well at our place – hope everyone else faired the same. Here is the scoop: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/dyfi/events/ci/11086258/us/index.html

Mountain Earthquake last night!
Posted in Palomar Mountain News

The X-Y coordinates for last night’s earthquake are about half way down South Grade. Click on the Web address below then “zoom in” several clicks on the map scale to pinpoint the location. Put the USGS coordinates (listed on the page) into your GPS and you can almost drive to the spot — but if you find a pot of gold don’t forget to share.

We felt it! My husband and I were in the living room watching TV. The rumbling seemed to start at one end of our apartment building and rumble through towards the other side, it was strange and it took us a few moments to realize it was actually an earthquake. I’m used to earthquakes because I was born and raised in CA, but this was my husbands first one!
