Got a call telling of a property owner discovering a lock on a gate broken into then left ‘fake locked’. 

 It appeared that the bad guys were planning to come back and have easy access to make their raid.  Do you have a gate to your property?  It was suggested that you check your locks often and let’s watch out for our neighbors!  Anything suspicious, get the license number, a good description, and call the Sheriff!  760 751-4400

Meanwhile, here are some tips from the Deputy:

Write down the serial numbers of all your electronics and keep them in a safe place.

Another way to capture serial numbers is take a photo of your computer (for example), then the serial number.  

Take pix of all your stuff!  Open cupboards too so you have pix of what is inside.
