Subject: [PMPO] DPLU Response to Palomar Mountain FCI/Density Recommendations
Palomar Mountain Community,
I am forwarding you all this note that I sent to the PMPO Board this morning after a discussion today to help me understand the San Diego County Department of Planning and Land Use (DPLU) recommendations to change the General Plan.
I will send a letter to the DPLU outlining the discrepancies between the DPLU Recommendations and the PMPO Recommendation of 11/14/09, and request that representatives of the DPLU attend our 11/12/11 regularly schedule PMPO meeting to discuss.
Regards, Mike Chesney PMPO Chair

Subject: [PMPO] TIME SENSATIVE: DPLU Response to FCI/Density
PMPO Board, Thanks to those who were able to join me this morning (Mike P, Michael W, Alan S, Bruce G, Glenn B & Robert C). This was not a PMPO meeting, simply a workshop to clarify my understanding on the DPLU’s 2020 Plan recommendations (see letter attached) In a nut shell, there are 2 parts to the recommendation (1 – Land Use and 2 – Lot Size) Item 1 Land Use (Rural Commercial Designation) The only change the DPLU are recommending is that Jerry Woods property (across Canfield Rd from the Summit) be designated as Rural Commercial. The PMPO Recommended that the Woods Property, Group Camp, Fire Station, Adjoining Properties to the Fire Station have their designation changed to Rural Commercial (the Summit & Helipad already had this designation) Follow this link to the 11/14/09 PMPO Recommendation and Map http://pmpoinfo.com/Documents/Committees/2020_County_Plan/Nov_14_2009_GeneralPlan_2020%20Rpt.pdf
