Last week I was out with a surveyor and got my 12th rattlesnake since we moved back in ’98. The next stop was Glenn and Cecilia Borland’s. I asked Glenn as we arrived, “would your chickens or goats like some fresh rattlesnake?”
Glenn replied, “No, a little marinate and we’ll put it on the grill!”
I realize, of course, that this is not going to go over well with all of you… I do what I do in memory of James Beresford whose wife and daughters died from snake bites up here decades ago. Thanks to James, we don’t have near as many as we could have… Keep reading for an article from the nctimes via Rosemary and watch out for rattlesnakes, no matter where you are!
