Yesterday I was going in Confier Road as Sheriff’s Deputy Ken Newsom was driving out. He had just taken a report on another burglary. This time it was where a window had been broken and lots of things taken. Deputy Newsom suggested we write down the serial numbers of all our electronics and keep them in a safe place. Because of several reasons he is guessing the burglar is someone local who really knows the comings and goings of the owners of these rural properties.
Another way to capture serial numbers is take a photo of the computer (for example), then the serial number. I just took pix of our stuff, now it’s your turn. Hope you don’t ever need it but just in case…
