Everyone is welcome! Here is your map for our community Progressive Potluck Dinner and click for all the details:
1. 5:00 Appetizers at Earl and Louise Walls 760 742-9993 – Starting at the top of the Mountain, take the “Green Trail” up Crestline to Road Marker 11. Turn right. Drive out to Earl and Louise Walls’. Follow the arrows and if you are the first cars, pass their house, keep going to park up along the top of their driveway. We’ll enjoy ‘yuletide carols being sung by the fire’ while looking out to their spectacular view!
2. 6:30 ish Venison Chili and Homemade Soup at Mike and Sue Stevens 760 742-4305. Take the ‘road before us and sing a chorus or two’ on the “Red Trail” and go down Crestline, to Mother’s Kitchen and The Store. Take the road to the left which is State Park Road. Go about a half mile and turn right on Upper Meadow Road (first driveway past the 12 mile marker). Mike and Sue’s home is the second driveway, at the very end, on the left. If you are one of the first cars, drive in past their home so we can circle the cars around their driveway.
3. 8:00 ish Dessert at the Historic Palomar Mountain Lodge. ‘O’re the fields we go, laughing all the way’ on the “Gold Trail” back up Crestline to the end. Lots of parking and a big warm fire waiting for you. Dutch Bergman will be there with his guitar wishing us all a Merry Christmas!
Bring: Family and Friends and an appetizer, dessert or soup to share.
Weather? The reports show rain and that we won’t be walking in a winter wonderland. However, if we do have snow, we do have a Plan B. Be sure to subscribe at the top of this page for a last-minute update or give Bonnie and Don a call at 760 742-1742.
Although it’s been said many times, many ways, Merry Christmas to You!
Don and Bonnie Phelps
