Jazz Concert at the Maxine this Thursday

Most Palomar students have attended Valley Center for High School. Here is an opportunity to support the music program and catch some great music at a good price!  Bonnie Phelps

Subject: Jazz Concert to Benefit Valley Center Music

This Thursday, the Maxine Theater at the Valley Center High School will be the site of the 13th Annual Jazz Benefit Concert beginning at 6 PM. This is truly a magnificent evening and all the proceeds go directly to the music programs in Valley Center.

Doors open at 5 PM with Len Beck, an award winning pianist, will be playing in the lobby between 5 and 6.  The concert begins at 6 PM. A combo plate of a tri tip slider, caesar salad and a drink will be offered for just $5. Gourmet desserts from Valley View Bakery will also be for sale at a modest cost.

Opening acts will be the award winning Valley Center Middle School and High School Jazz Bands. They will perform between 6 and 7. The San Diego Jazz Orchestra will take the main stage for their impromptu jam session from 7:15 until about 9 PM. Audience members always rave about this rare opportunity to hear some of the country’s best performers come together in a benefit for our music programs. All of the musicians donate their time and talent for our kids! Tickets will be available for sale at the door on a first come, first served basis, or from me if you let me know in advance. Cash or checks to Valley Center/Pauma Music Boosters (VCPMB), a 501c3 charitable organization, are accepted. Tickets are just $10.

Please forward to others who enjoy great music!
